Omarchy StoreLaunching

The app store for Omarchy.

Omarchy Store installs apps, themes, plugins and screensavers on Omarchy Linux in one click, and checks every listing for its licence and its install scripts before it appears.

Omarchy Store
What it does

Everything you install, in one place.

The store is the front door to an Omarchy desktop: what you can add, what you already have, and how to take it back off.

ONE CLICK

Install, update, remove

Press Get and the app installs with your own package manager. Remove it and its settings go with it.

  • Apps, themes, plugins and screensavers in one place
  • Your own package manager does the installing
  • Nothing installs without you pressing Get
CHECKED

Licence and scripts

Every listing is checked for its licence, its source and its install scripts before it appears, and checked again after that.

FOUR KINDS

Apps, themes, plugins, screensavers

Everything that changes how your desktop looks and works, in one catalogue.

YOUR SYSTEM

Shows what you already have

The store reads your system, so you can see what is installed before you press anything.

DESKTOP APP

Runs as its own app

The desktop app puts the store in its own window on your desktop, with the same catalogue and the same checks.

OPEN

MIT licensed

The code is open source under the MIT licence, so anyone can read it and send a fix.

The details

Who makes it, and where it lives.

Plain facts, so nobody has to guess what this is.

01

Who makes it

Omarchy Store is developed by Kernlux Development Labs.

02

What it is

An independent community project for Omarchy Linux. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Omarchy project.

03

Licence

MIT. The desktop app's licence files name Kernlux Development Labs as the copyright holder.

04

Desktop app

Version 1.1.2, for Omarchy Linux and other Arch-based systems. The file itself is served from the store's own site.

05

Where to get it

The store is at omarchystore.com. The desktop app is on the store's own site: get the desktop app.

Trust

What we can show you.

No badges and no seals. Four things you can check for yourself.

01

MIT licence

Omarchy Store is under the MIT licence, and the notice ships with the source.

02

Security reviewed, report published

A written security and flaw review covers the website, the install scripts, the desktop app, the backend and the build pipelines. It lists what was found and fixed, what is still open, and what was not checked. How we handle reports.

03

Checked before it installs

The installer checks what it fetches against a pinned SHA-256, and a mismatch stops the install.

04

Installs without root, adds no hooks

The desktop app installs into your home folder with no root step and adds no post-install hook or background updater. Anything that needs your password runs in a visible terminal, where you type it yourself.

Credits and thanks

Standing on Omarchy.

None of this is ours alone, and we say so plainly.

01

Omarchy

Created by David Heinemeier Hansson and its contributors. Thank you for the desktop this is built on. Omarchy's copyright and MIT licence notices stay in the system, and its name and logo are never used as ours. More at omarchy.org.

02

Arch Linux

The base system and the package manager everything else runs on.

03

Hyprland, Quickshell and Qt

The window manager and the toolkits that draw the desktop and our apps.

04

The rest

Every other project we build on is credited on the credits page, with its licence.

Omarchy Store and this website are launched together. The buttons above lead to the store's own site, and that is the only place the desktop app is served from; we do not host or mirror it.
